FedPoint is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance department. In this role, you will play a part in ensuring our operations meet all contractual and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and privacy standards. If you enjoy structured work, take pride in thoroughness, and want to contribute to the protection of sensitive information for customers across major federal benefit programs, this is an excellent opportunity.

About the Compliance Department

The Compliance team ensures that FedPoint’s business lines operate within all contractual, regulatory, and privacy requirements. We manage responses to formal complaints, legal documents, inquiries, and incidents, and serve as a primary liaison with OPM. The department also oversees vendor management, enterprise fraud, waste, and abuse efforts, and ensures the integrity and consistency of compliance-related data. You will join a team known for diligence, collaboration, and a commitment to high-quality work.

What You’ll Do

As a Compliance Specialist, you will process a variety of compliance workflow tickets and support the department with administrative tasks, including:

Authorization & Legal Document Processing (70 percent)

  • Review and process HIPAA third-party authorizations for FLTCIP and BENEFEDS customers

  • Triage and evaluate legal documents to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Manage confirmations, denials, and account documentation

  • Maintain a strong pace while escalating issues that require further review

PHI Request Preparation (15 percent)

  • Validate PHI requests and gather required documentation

  • Prepare PDF packages and cover letters for final review

  • Uphold accuracy and consistency throughout the process

Mail and Administrative Support (10 percent)

  • Process non-LTCP mail tickets, triaging requests and coordinating with the mailroom

  • Assist with tracking Clean Desk Check requirements each quarter

  • Support the Compliance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

This is an administrative role where precision, timeliness, and strong communication are essential. You will be trusted to manage sensitive information responsibly and maintain high-quality work even in repetitive tasks.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; SharePoint experience preferred

  • Experience with Chorus or similar workflow/ticketing tools a plus

  • Background in insurance, legal, or medical office settings preferred

  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively

Location: Portsmouth, NH , Hybrid Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:4:30pm

Compensation: The typical starting salary would be between $20.43- $24.04/hr, based on qualifications and experience as it relates to our requirements. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary employee bonus plan based on company metric performance as well as a full suite of benefits, listed below.
